What is a cenacle?
Cenacle refers to the Upper Room, or the site of the Last Supper. In
Catholic tradition, this was the site where the Apostles of Christ received
Holy Orders and became His first priests, and where they were praying when
the Holy Spirit descended upon them on Pentecost.
Today, the term is used for meetings that
involve spiritual prayer and devotion. This cenacle is a “Marian” group,
focused on interceding for our families, our community and the world through
devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus.
Weekly meetings include prayer, study, open
discussion and sharing.
- Practice devotion to Our Lady by praying
the Rosary together.
- Learn deeper devotion to Our Lady.
- Explore who Mary is and what role she
has in the church.
- Discuss Mary’s desires for the faithful
and her role in each of our lives.
- Share how she has impacted our lives or
the lives of those close to us.
